Mama Praxedes
Zimbabwe's economy is in a very bad state, people live on what they can make and grow, as poverty and unemployment are prevalent. Every day is a struggle, to get food, water, electricity and petrol for the cars and buses. Zenzele is able to buy artwork from Zimbabwe due to an old woman called Mama Praxedes who travels a 20 hour bus journey out of Zimbabwe, where she hand delivers the goods for foreign currency to bring back to the artists and their families. In this way Zenzele maximizes the profits for those who have earn it.
