Makubela
George Makubela originates from Kwandebele in Mpuimalanga, South Africa. He started to make wire and recycle Art in 1995 when both his parents were involved in a car accident. Through his art he was able to pay for food and schooling for his brothers and sisters. Now Makubela lives in Cape Town with his wife and two children. A few years ago, Makubela discovered that himself his wife and his daughter were HIV positive. His daughter has been suffering from many HIV related deseases. Makubela's hard work and meticulous skill, enables him to support his family and pay for medication. Makubela remains strong, hardworking and positive through all of life hardships.
