Himba Tribe
The Himba is an African tribe who live in the Kaokoland area of Namibia. They make bracelets made from recycled PVC piping, carving them with their traditional designs and wearing them as part of their tribal dress. The artists use this upcycled material as it resembles ivory, which they used in the past when elephants roamed Namibia in large numbers. Zenzele buys this products from an Arts Trust project, who have created a workshop for this indigenous tribe.
