Dadisco Dolls

Dadiso Dolls, Zimbabwe

Dadiso means ‘proudly’ in the Zimbabwian language chiShona. Dadiso is about quality handmade dolls that speak to the hearts of contemporary children. Children need the opportunity to play with toys that are imbued with love and originate from human hands, as conscious creations. The materials used for Dadisco Dolls are environment friendly, using non-synthetic fibers and off-cuts and waste from the clothing and linen industry. Dadiso is also about supporting women, creating employment for mothers with skills across Africa. Elinah Ngwenya, from Zimbabwe, is the founder and designer of Dadiso Dolls.
